The National Solid Waste Management Act
This law outlines the general provisions for medical and pharmaceutical waste management in Jamaica. The Water Resources Act outlines the effluent standards for release from waste treatment and incineration facilities. Oversight of these facilities and the byproducts they release is under the regulation of the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA).
