Environmental Protection and Preservation Act of Maldives (Law No. 4/93)
This Act establishes the principles for environmental protection, providing environmental guidance and gives the Ministry of Planning, Human Resources and Environment the responsibility for formulating policies, identifying protected areas, and conducting impact assessments for development projects with potential environmental impacts.
