Waste Management Act No. 18 of 2004
This Act sets rules for waste management, covering the establishment of the Solid Waste Authority, waste management planning, licensing of facilities, prohibitions and liabilities, monitoring, enforcement, and penalties, with provisions for regulations on waste diversion, licensing systems, environmental impact assessments, waste handling standards, fees, public awareness, and various aspects of waste collection, treatment, disposal, and recycling.
