Law No. HO-137-N “On veterinary medicine”
This law regulates all aspects of veterinary medicine in Armenia, as well as the protection of animal health and welfare. It establishes 'state body (bodies) authorized by the Government of the Republic of Armenia to develop policy, exercise control and (or) provide services in the field of Veterinary Medicine' as the competent veterinary authority in Armenia. It specifies the qualifications required to practice veterinary medicine. It contains measures for the prevention and control of communicable diseases in animals, such as quarantine.
