Environmental Management Act 2002
(Act No. 5 of 2002)
This law establishes a framework for environmental protection programs and the management of natural resources. It mandates that pollutant disposal in water sources be monitored. It also establishes Eswatini's sovereignty over its genetic resources, and explicitly considers genetic material as one of its natural resources to protect and conserve.
