Federal Act on the Protection of Nature and Cultural Heritage
(NCHA)
This Act outlines the ways in which the Swiss canton have agreed to protect their biological diversity. Articles 23n and o establish the duty of due diligence, including traditional knowledge (23p), and express the possibility of this applying to genetic resources in Switzerland (23q). This also establishes fines and criminalization incurred with infringement.
