Ordinance on veterinary medicinal products

This Ordinance regulates the manufacturing, import and export and prescription of veterinary medicinal products in Switzerland. It seeks to ensure the correct use of veterinary medicinal products, in particular judicious and targeted prescribing, dispensing and use of antibiotics. It also regulates animal feed, including prohibiting the routine use of antibiotics for animals on farms and in aquaculture.
