Federal Law No. (8) of 2021
on Access to Genetic Resources and their Derivatives and Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Originating from their Utilization
This law establishes provisions for the regulation of access to genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge. It introduces the concept of benefit-sharing, and asserts the duty to comply with the regulations relating to access.
