This law states the vaccines that are mandatory for Italian citizens and unaccompanied minors between the ages of zero and sixteen residing in Italy. The law also outlines the financial penalties that will be assessed to parents or guardians that have not immunized their children with the mandatory vaccinations. Additionally, the legal document outlines the new requirement for preschool- and school-aged children to be vaccinated on schedule as a prerequisite for enrollment in public or private schools and nurseries. Finally, the law allows for medical exemptions to vaccines, given that the clinical danger to the child is duly noted by a physician.
