Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy

This law establishes a framework for protecting and conserving water resources, including adopting measures against water pollution. Member States must provide the status of water resources in their territory with information including residue limit values and quality objectives.
