Directive 2008/98/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 November 2008 on waste and repealing certain Directives
This law establishes the framework for the handling of waste by defining key concepts, setting requirements for the management of waste, obligations for Member States to have waste management plans, and obligations for handling waste in a way that does not pose a risk to the environment.
